This is a pep talk I wrote to myself over the weekend, in the form of a comic strip.
"What do you have in you today? / Write it all down, mistakes and all. / Keep moving forward with whatever you have. You can add to it tomorrow. / You have nothing and no one to fear. / When it gets too loud, go to the still place inside you where you are always safe and loved. / Remember to laugh often and not take yourself too seriously. / You will be okay. Your story is safe in the universe."
For a long time, I didn't feel I was worthy of love, belonging, or my place in the world. This was a hard lesson to learn and I still work at it, but I hope that everyone can arrive at worthiness in their own way, free of hate, shame, and blame.
I trust that I am a tiny, yet undeniable part in the whole expanse of the universe, no matter how small. And if "energy is neither created nor destroyed," then I can't be erased. We and our stories are safe.
When the world feels unsafe and the future uncertain, I aspire to be braver and wiser than I was yesterday.
May you feel safe, loved, and brave. Thanks for reading. - Connie
