If my cartoons seem a little random and humorless lately, it’s because I’ve been dealing with a personal matter and I’m mostly cartooning to cope and keep my head above water. I hope to be back on track soon.
This week, my goal has been to redirect my anxious energy toward what inspires me: the possibility that everyone still has the capacity to learn and heal, become better, and help each other.
Play is a therapeutic way to learn and I think we need it when confronting difficult things in life. For example, I’m still a beginner with watercolor. Letting myself experiment and play with the medium helps me keep calm and keep making art, despite feeling overwhelmed and frayed.
I believe that small acts of positivity add up and make a difference in the long-run, even if they just get us through the day.
Hope that time heals all our wounds. Have a great long weekend if you’re on holiday.

I hope things get easier for you soon. Thanks for the reminder that art and play can help us get through hard times.
If I may give you a hug, I do so. <hug>
