When there are no easy words
Recently, I started writing and illustrating these short comics in rhyme for myself. They help me process what I don't have easy words for.
Sometimes they are silly and sometimes they are weighty, but the daily practice of drawing them is a gift I give myself.
Making art as a gift to myself
The work of drawing these comics is difficult, but when I finish one on the page, it clarifies something in my head that was more muddled before. This can have a calming effect sometimes and — just that little bit — it can make a difference.
I'd like to share this feeling with you, especially if that energy is transferrable:
May you be kind to yourself and always feel loved.
